The problem is the rectifier(voltage regulator)
It is allowing too much voltage through the system, then it tries to compensate but does too good of a job and over corrects the high
voltage, therefore giving too little voltage, dimming the lights. And the turnsignals is what told me that that is the prob.
The turn signal relay is a bimettalic strip, this means that the fillament in the relay is heated up when voltage is put to it
This fillament is a strip made of 2 different metals(usually brass and tungsten steel). The brass expands faster and at lower temps, than the tungsten, therefore making the strip flex.
The strip then touches a contact point which activates the turning signals
The excess voltage is what is making the light flash faster, the strip is heating up faster than usual...this indicates too much voltage!
soooo, have the regulator checked, or they will know what to look at at the shop
